Lemon Angel Project - 02

Due to the lack of any 'really good' anime this season for fansubs, I'm stuck with watching this! :o

It's okay Tomo! Your voice of mass destruction has no effect on me..yet :xI'd die if I ever had a voice as tone-deaf as yours!

Tomo - apart having the worst anime voice evar - escapes from her cupboard situation with the help of her local paedophile..er manager in training. They discuss over tea and biscuits about how great Yui was and about Lemon Angel in general. It seems like the Lemon Angel group was computer generated (ala Sharon Apple from Macross Plus) but the buying public never knew about it. Are these people BLIND? Of course, when someone hacked into the program, the group 'quit' and hence why manager wants to form a new group - but with real people! Lemon Angel Mark 2! Liek zomg!
The next day, Tomo reminices about how utterly gay Yui was to her and heads off to the audition. She meets her potential rival known Saya, who demands to be put into Lemon Angel because she posed for a guys magazine and dumped her manager like the cool beanz type she is! Tomo just stands there and gawks like an idiot before 'bumping' into another future band member (Title sequence spoilers FTW). Erica Campbell is the typical 'gaijin' who speaks broken English and befriends Tomo quite quickly. The other stereotypes make a brief apperance which include 'Goth Loli', 'Megane-ko', 'Snob' and of course Miki who will be judging along with manager.
After a brief exchange of words, Saya catches Tomo talking to manager and gets jealous. Preferential treatment is not allowed! So when she does her audition, it only makes her better! Tomo is up next and phails the first time before re-trying and singing half decent. Eventually, everyone has their turns and they will receive a letter to see if they got through. Of course, we all know who makes the band, so I don't see why they need to prolong the audition process even furthur! :o But Tomo and the other stereotypes make the last 20 and next episode will be more of the same! Meanwhile, Saya's old manager has a plan up his sleeve. We all know he's going to create a rival band! Possibly!

Just call me 1337. ;)Enma-Ai is taking up a new career in Pop Idol.

This episode was better than the first, but I feel like I'm scraping the barrel! Some of the characters are interesting enough but there is no mystery about what is going to happen. Tomo tries to be a Usagi-type but ends up being a no-type in the process! I'll keep watching the stereotype rejects regardless, in hope that something better than 'poor' crops up.

Overall: 5.5/10

Don't expect too much - unless your going to end up disappointed. ;)
