Fate/Stay Night - 02

*Takes out YU-GI-OH! card* "I summon you Servant Saber!"



The main character Shirou Emiya has to get the title for Biggest Mug of anime! After he gets rid of his slave..I mean good friend Sakura, he hooks up with the captain of the Archery squad only to have her discuss Shinji (Sakura's brother) about how he treats n00bs. Shirou immediately goes to see him and ends up cleaning the Archery dojo. His so called kindness trait just irritates me greatly! It's nothing original!
Meanwhile, Rin and Archer track down a mystery Yu-Gi-Oh card on top of the school roof. This Lancer card has ATK:2000 DEF:2000 but when Rin goes to check on her Archer card ATK:???? DEF:???? she decided to put him in attack mode FTW! Archer takes out two crappy looking swords and battles Lancer DBZ style. Shirou hears noises from the Dojo and like the idiot he is - goes to investigate. One of the rules of this game apparently, is that nobody else can view the battle so Lancer changes his target from Archer to Shirou. Poor Shirou runs as if he caught bird flu, but alas Lancer kills him. Unfortunately, main characters never stay dead as Rin's secret crush is found out and she brings him back to life. However, after some tea and biscuits later, Archer tells Rin that Lancer will still go back to kill Shirou. What a waste after all! ;)
After another craptastic 'battle' this time between Shirou's 'super-powered' metal stick and Lancer, a mysterious symbol emerges on Shirou's hand. Saber appears and repels back the enemy. THE END. How boring!



This so called AAA title managed to get pre-licensed - and it's not even that great. One word comes to mind after the good animation and music - MEDIOCRE. That's right not even the servant and master thing mixed with YU-GI-OH and a hint of Oh! My Goddess can save this anime! But if you like lackluster anime such as the above and Bleach, you'll probably like this too!

Overall: 5.5/10

Fate/Stay Night joins the ranks of Kagihime this season as dropped anime! Only Kasimasi is left now! :o
