Kasimasi ~Girl Meets Girl~ - 01

Finally! Something better Kagihime's Key-rape! :o



Kasimasi ~Girl Meets Girl~ looks like any normal boy-meets-girl style anime. Well of course it isn't! I wouldn't be watching it otherwise. ;) So what's the story?
Hazumu is a geeky, yet effemite boy and has a crush on a girl named Yasuna. They both love gardening and cultivating flowers. Perfect type Hazumu thinks! He attempts to confess his feelings for her. Unfortunately for him, as we later find out - Yasuna rejects him! So in a depression, he starts climbing up the mountain path unaware of what is about to happen.
Meanwhile, his friends at school are searching for him - having told Hazumu to go for the girl he loves and finding out he was rejected later, must have brought out their guilty conscience! Tomari in particular seems concerned as she secretly wanted Hazumu to herself and would not want him to kill himself!
After what seemed like an eternity, Hazumi finally reaches the top and spots a shooting star! He wishes for love, happiness..and flowers. But what he gets instead is a HUGE phallic spaceship rammed into him! :o NASA go on high alert and run through some Engrish phrases that was almost correct English! Hazumu's parents fear for the worst and somehow his teacher (who hasn't had a boyfriend for 35 years) barges in on them declaring she will find Hazumu - just like the rest of the cast then! But not to worry, Hazumu just died and is now reborn as a female. The aliens broadcast this message to the entire city and apologise! I don't think I'd like that! ;) Yasuna and Tomari race to the top of the mountain to catch a feel..I mean a glimpse of the newly female Hazumu and hope their lesbian charms work on her!



Overall, I enjoyed the dramatic opening of the episode and then it was a bit disappointing after! It seemed to be rather slow in pace in comparison to the manga version, and there are slight differences here and there. Nothing to worry about so far! One of my few complaints is Kana Ueda voicing Hazumu (male) and managed to still sound like a girl! Hopefully they don't go with the obvious ending: Hazumu turning back to male form with Yasuna and Tomari chasing after him. Let's hope the next few episodes will continue to improve!
Definately one to watch!
